New from Significans Automation
Drop in a workflow. Say what to change.
Architect is an assistant for Automation Engine. Attach a workflow export and ask what a branch does, why jobs stop at preflight, or how to add an approval step. You get a plain-English answer, or the changed workflow ready to import.
No server to run, no AI key to bring.
AA_Sheet_Layout_nest_async.zip
It has grown to 384 steps. Can you make it readable without changing what it does? Here it is in 69 steps instead of 384, and it does exactly what it did. Each long stretch is now a nested workflow named for what it does, with a note inside saying why. Every error route still ends where it did, and every Select Marked File still finds its files across the folds. It's ready to import. Shall I walk you through the folds?
In practice
Ask it about your own workflow
Architect answers from the workflow you attach and from Significans’ knowledge base of Automation Engine tasks.
Understand
“Walk me through this workflow like I started last week.”
Every branch in plain words, each task named the way Automation Engine names it.
Troubleshoot
“Jobs from the web shop stop after Preflight with PitStop. Why?”
Where they stop, which condition holds them, and what to change.
Change
“Send new customers’ jobs to WebCenter for approval before imposition.”
The changed workflow, ready to import back into Automation Engine.
Build
“Build a workflow: optimize, preflight, Step & Repeat, then mail the proof.”
A new workflow to import. On Max, Architect puts it on your server itself.
Nothing to install to start: export a workflow and drop it in. The AE-Agent, installed beside your Automation Engine, lets Architect open workflows on the server directly. Whoever installs it sets how far it may go, and nothing in Architect goes past that.
Every plan
Attach an export
Export the workflow from Automation Engine as a .zip package, drop it into the chat, import the answer back.
Pro
Read link
Architect opens workflows straight from your server through the AE-Agent. It cannot change them.
Max
Read and write link
Architect opens workflows and imports its changes into your Automation Engine once you say yes in the chat.
Enterprise
Several servers, your rules
An admin decides who uses each AE server: everyone, admins only, or chosen people, each read‑only or read and write.
Who builds it
From the team that customises Automation Engine for printers
Significans Automation is a vendor-neutral software integrator for printers, packaging converters and brand owners. Its specialists build and tune Automation Engine workflows and train prepress teams to run them. Architect puts that practice into an assistant you can ask at any hour.
“Significans Automation helped take our underutilized Automation Engine prepress workflow software and customize it so that it is integrated into our business.”
From early previews of Architect
“Being able to export an existing workflow, drop it in, and simply say what I want to change is one of the most compelling aspects of Architect.”
“Tools like this can help us transition work over and let someone else step in when key people are away.”

Questions
Before you start
- Will Architect change my production Automation Engine?
- Only as far as you allow. On Basic it never reaches your server: you import its answer yourself. On Pro it only reads. On Max it can write, and it asks in the chat before it imports or deletes anything. The AE-Agent’s own limit, set on your server when you install it, is a ceiling nothing in Architect can pass.
- Do I need my own AI model or key?
- No. Personal plans run on our models. An organisation can bring its own model endpoint and key on Enterprise.
- Who sees my workflows and chats?
- Your chats are stored encrypted, and we see a chat’s content only in a bug report you choose to send. You can export everything or erase your account at any time. Service details has the full picture.
- Can my whole team use it?
- Yes, on Enterprise: one organisation, its members and several AE servers. Admins choose who uses each server and at what level, and can cap each member’s monthly spend and models. Unlinking a server ends everyone’s access to it at once.
- What if it gets something wrong?
- Ask why it chose a step, and review the workflow before it reaches production. On Basic and Pro nothing reaches Automation Engine unless you import it.
Try it on a workflow you already have.
Export one from Automation Engine, drop it in and ask what it does.
